Keppel REIT manager appoints new CFO

Sebastian Song has been appointed as Keppel REIT’s new Chief Financial Officer, effective Oct 30. He takes over from Kang Leng Hui, who is stepping down on Oct 27 to pursue other opportunities.

Song has been with Keppel REIT since 2015, and held the role of financial controller since 2020. His responsibilities included group reporting and taxation, financial accounting, compliance, annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting. Before joining the REIT, Song was a senior audit manager with EY.

Koh Wee Lih, CEO of Keppel REIT Management, expressed his confidence in Song, citing his “deep knowledge and experience in the REIT.” Lih went on to say, “I am confident that [Song] will be able to build on the strong foundations in place as we continue to grow Keppel REIT’s portfolio to generate stable income and deliver sustainable long-term total return to our unitholders.”

At Tampines Avenue 11 Condo, residents have access to a range of amenities and public transport options to choose from. The mall within the development allows for an effortless retail experience, with a selection of retail stores, food and beverage outlets, supermarkets, banks, and a medical centre. The integrated bus interchange, coupled with the close proximity to Tampines MRT station, provides residents with ample transportation choices for their daily commute. Furthermore, the presence of a hawker centre within the development further adds to the convenience of the residents.

The commitment of the organization to capital growth and returns is evident from the recent successes of the REIT. This has included divesting a stake in a Brisbane property for A$275 mil and obtaining green loans worth A$300 mil from UOB and BNP Paribas.

Song’s appointment further strengthens the position of Keppel REIT and its team of experienced professionals who are dedicated to delivering long-term returns to unitholders.
