Weave Living steps up expansion in Japan and acquires nine assets in Tokyo
Weave Living, an integrated rental accommodation provider headquartered in Hong Kong, recently acquired nine multi-family residential properties located in prime locations in Tokyo, totaling 352 units. The acquisition kicks off the company’s next expansion phase into Japan, having previously entered the Hong Kong and Singapore markets.
Weave Living has already formed a Tokyo office and appointed industry veteran Daisuke Noguchi as its Japan country head. Noguchi previously served as head of acquisitions at Allianz Real Estate. The Tokyo team, which has grown to 12 professionals across different operational areas, opened the first three properties in Waseda, Monzennakacho and Higashi-koenji on November 3.
Weave Living intends to scale up its presence in Tokyo and Osaka with a plan to grow its Japan AUM (asset under management) to over US$1.5 billion by 2025 – representing more than one-third of the overall asset base.
“Our aim is to grow our Japan AUM to over US$1.5 billion, representing more than one-third of our overall asset base by 205,” says Sachin Doshi, founder and group CEO of Weave Living.
