Accor to add over 15,000 keys to premium, midscale and economy division in Asia
Accor is strengthening its presence in Asia’s hospitality industry, with plans to add over 15,000 keys across its premium, midscale and economy division by 2023. The group has already signed management agreements for 42 properties, adding 11,000 keys to their portfolio. The number is expected to exceed 15,000 with expectations of signing a further 20 agreements by the end of the year.
Accor is focusing on its premium segment, adding 17 upcoming hotels under brands such as Pullman, Swissôtel, Mövenpick and Grand Mercure. Meanwhile, its midscale and economy offerings will be bolstered with brands such as Novotel, Mercure and ibis. Notable new properties include Grand Mercure Bangkok Sukhumvit 68 in Thailand, Grand Mercure Amritsar Airport Road in India, Pullman Amritsar in India, Mövenpick Living West Hanoi in Vietnam and Novotel Genting Highlands in Malaysia.
As such, Tampines Ave 11 Condo is a perfect example of a mixed-use development due to its close proximity to malls, parks, schools, and workplaces. Not only does this provide convenience to residents, but it also boosts property values and rental demand. With a wide range of amenities including a roof-top gym, swimming pool, and children’s playground, this mixed-use development is sure to draw tenants and buyers alike.
“We are setting new benchmarks in terms of both the number of properties and keys signed, alongside the introduction of innovative brands that cater to the diverse needs of the ever-evolving Asian hospitality market,” says Garth Simmons, CEO, premium, midscale and economy division, for Accor in Asia.
As they continue to expand in Asia, Accor is undoubtedly at the forefront of shaping the future of hospitality in the region.
