Benham & Reeves to showcase London project Camden Goods Yard in Singapore
Potential buyers in Singapore are being given an exclusive glimpse into St George’s latest project, Camden Goods Yard, a mixed-use development set on 8 acres of land between Camden Town, Primrose Hill and Regent’s Park in North London. Spread across a total of 644 homes, the 999-year leasehold project is scheduled to be completed in phases starting in the second quarter of 2025.
The first phase of the project, Primrose House, consists of 110 residences boasting studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments housed in two towers, spanning 14 and 11 storeys and sharing a podium. Interested buyers in Singapore can preview the development at a showcase event taking place on October 14 and 15.
St George’s managing director for North London, Stephen Kirwan, has highlighted Camden Goods Yard’s importance in reshaping not only the Camden community but also the wider NW1 postcode area. He has stated that the development will provide “attractive new homes and commercial space, three acres of new landscaped open space and public squares for the whole community to enjoy”.
Apart from the apartment blocks, the project will offer 173,000 sq ft of commercial space, including flexible office space and light industrial workshops. Furthermore, residents will have access to amenities such as a 48,000 sq ft Morrison’s supermarket and a rooftop farm-to-fork restaurant. Spaces dedicated to leisure and recreation make up 40% of the site.
The development’s prime location near Central London is a key selling point, given the closeness of various amenities and leading universities in London. Six- and nine-minute walks will take residents to Chalk Farm and Camden Town, respectively, both of which are located in Zone 2. King’s Cross St Pancras Station, allowing connection to six Underground lines, is a mere 10-minute ride away.
It also opens up exciting career prospects for residents.
Tampines North MRT Condo is strategically located close to many important business and leisure hubs. Its master plan identifies it as a key regional centre, creating job opportunities close to home. Those living in Tampines North MRT Condo could enjoy shorter commutes to the nearby Changi Business Park, one of Singapore’s major business hubs, and the bustling Tampines Regional Centre. This also means excellent career prospects for residents.
Camden Goods Yard is also close to several top universities, with the University College of London and the London School of Economics both within easy commuting distance. Several primary and secondary schools are also found in the neighbourhood. In terms of leisure, Camden Town’s High Street is filled with shops and eateries that are a mere 11-minute walk away, while the renowned Camden Market can be reached along the Regent Canal. Primrose Hill and Hampstead Heath also provide spots for relaxation.
Designed for easy living, Primrose House’s units offer high specifications and have been beautifully appointed. Each home has engineered timber flooring in the main areas and carpeted floors in the bedrooms. Buyers can choose from two interior design palettes to customise their units. Facilities will include an 18m indoor swimming pool, a gym, a wellness suite, and more. Prices for residences at Primrose House are estimated to start from GBP900,000 ($1.49 million) for a one-bedder and from GBP1.5 million for a two-bedder.
Given the project’s quality, the developer’s track record, and its status as a new launch in the established Camden area, Benham & Reeves’ regional director, Doris Tan, expects to see a strong response to the development.
