Momentus Hotels & Resorts, the subsidiary of Chip Eng Seng Group, recently launched their second property, Momentus Serviced Residences Novena in the medical hub of Novena. Located at 12 Shan Road, the property was purchased by a joint venture comprised of Roxy-Pacific, Macly Capital, and LWH Holdings from Singapore-listed company TA Corp for $86.5 million last March.

Offering a mix of 99 studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units in sizes ranging from 398 sq ft to 861 sq ft, Momentus Serviced Residences Novena is conveniently located close to medical centres, shopping malls, and Novena MRT Station. Angeline Tan, Senior Vice President of Momentus Hospitality and Vice President of Chip Eng Seng Hospitality, says that the brand wanted to expand their hospitality services and venture into serviced apartments in order to cater to a broader range of customers, especially for those who are seeking extended and more immersive stays.

Tan also remarks that Singapore’s hospitality industry has grown immensely, making it a “fiercely competitive” market. With this in mind, Momentus Hotels & Resorts hopes to provide a “home away from home” that caters to the daily needs of its guests. Guests staying at the serviced apartment can enjoy amenities such as a swimming pool, fitness room, outdoor terrace, barbecue area, and rooftop garden. Furthermore, they can take advantage of the lush greenery surrounding the building, which makes up 40% of the development, earning the property the maximum points for green living under URA’s Green Mark scheme.

Moving forward, Tan explains that the brand will adapt to global trends and ever-changing traveller preferences by expanding to six properties in the next three years, with a focus on sustainability initiatives and the integration of technology solutions. Additionally, the brand is looking to expand its presence beyond Singapore in the Asia Pacific region. For now, Momentus Hotels & Resorts is striving to hit a 70% occupancy rate for the Novena serviced apartment this year.
